The Galapagos Safari Camp is a new concept of accommodation in the Galapagos and brings total comfort and luxury to the islands. Owned and hosted by Michael and Stephanie Mesdag it is a fantastic place from which to explore the highlands and the neighbouring islands or as an extension for some R&R after a 7 night cruise.
Where is it?
The camp is set on a ridge in the highlands of Santa Cruz, overlooking the National Park and offering magnificent views over the Pacific Ocean and the western ands northern islands.
What is it?
A luxury tented camp which is elegantly furnished, where you can appreciate the abundance of nature, where giant tortoises walk under your balcony and you can spot Galapagos finches whilst lying in bed. The food and wine have been very well thought out and the menu encompasses the best of the fresh produce and organic vegetables that are grown on the farm.
What is there to do?
The camp is a perfect base from which to explore the islands where private guiding, full day excursions to other islands, inland walks, horse trekking and diving can all be organised. The camp is a perfect place to chill out after a cruise and laze by the infinity pool.
Sleeps?
There are 9 double tents, each with an exceptional view, private balcony and en-suite bathroom.
Ideal for?
Nature lovers who want to experience the islands at their leisure and in total comfort without the busy itinerary of a cruise. It is perfect for a group of friends or family with wonderful entertaining space and tip top service.
We like it because...
The service and food are fantastic as well as the pampering! It feels like a wonderful retreat and a perfect place to unwind marvelling in the wonder and beauty of the 'enchanted islands'.
