The Sanctuary of Ol Lentille - your own private paradise in the bush. Four luxury private houses situated in the heart of a private conservation area which may be rented individually or for exclusive use of the entire property, and includes staff, vehicles, guides and drivers.
Where is it?
Ol Lentille is located on the extreme northern escarpment of the Laikipia plateau in Northern Kenya with enormous views to Mt Kenya, Ol Olokwe, and the Mathews Range and the Karisia Hills.
What is it?
It is a 14,500 hectare private wildlife conservancy of grassy hills and deep valleys, heavily wooded with many acacia species and African olives where there are a small collection of full-service, fully staffed luxury houses. It is home to wild dog, greater kudu, leopard, hyena and klipspringer.
What is there to do there?
Game drives, walking, quad biking, horse riding, camel trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing and scrambling, game tracking, river rafting and cultural lectures and demonstrations. Guests may also wish to get involved with Ol Lentille's community projects and visit the local village school and clinic. Guests who want to view the more common species of wildlife or rhino can go by aircraft or helicopter to nearby game reserves. For the less active, there is a huge a "horizon" swimming pool to relax by, a spa, a game-viewing deck with bar which at night is equipped with a GPS controlled telescope, and a library where all guests may gather together to talk, to relax by the fireside, to play backgammon, or to dine together if they wish. There is also boules, croquet and a parcours jogging trail.
Sleeps?
There are four individual and privately run houses each assuring utter privacy. Each house is fully staffed and serviced and run totally independently of each other. Chief's House sleeps up to 6 people, Colonel's House sleeps up to 4 people and the Sultan's House and The Eyrie sleep 2 people, ideal for a couple or honeymooners. However, Ol Lentille can be taken exclusively for a maximum of 16 guests.
