Ghadames Festival

Day 1
London - Tripoli
Depart Heathrow 0930 on BA89 Economy flight. Arrive Tripoli 1400. You will be met and given a tour of Tripoli on the way to your hotel. Overnight Tripoli.
Day 2
Tripoli - Sabratha
After breakfast you will be transferred to Sabratha (approximately 70km) to see the impressive Roman ruins. Overnight Tripoli.
Day 3
Tripoli - Ghadames
In the morning you head out to Ghadames (approximately 400km / 5-6 hrs driving), stopping at Qaser Al Haj and Nalut to view the Granaries. Continue to Ghadames.
The annual Ghadames festival is a colourful event with performances of traditional song & dance. Ghadames is one of the great trading towns on the centuries old Saharan caravan route. Two nights in Ghadames at The Ghadames Festival.
Day 5
Tripoli - Kabow - Gharyan
Driving back to Tripoli stop at Kabow and Gharyan to see the pottery market and granaries (some of which are 400 years old or more). Overnight Tripoli.
Day 6
Tripoli - Leptis Magna
A full day to visit the magnificent coastal site of Leptis Magna, once the largest Roman city in Africa. You may have time to visit Villa Sileen, with special permission, a Byzantine Villa on the coast near Leptis Magna. Overnight Tripoli.
Day 7
Tripoli - London
In the morning visit the museum, the old medina and markets before having lunch at a traditional fish restaurant. Transfer to the airport to depart on your BA economy flight. Depart Tripoli 1600 arriving 1800 at Heathrow.
